CURRENTLY WORKING on a doc entitled God Went Surfing with the Devil, focusing on life in the Middle East and surfers in Israel and Gaza, Bryan Derballa and Alex Klein, are also concurrently documenting their own journey in making the film and posting flicks to a frequently updated photo blog titled Notes From The Field. (It’s how I imagined ethnographic research would look like when I was in social research class taking copious notes. The pictures are amazing.)
